Big a big thank you to all those who came out to the River City Rally! It was an amazing success with over 50 scooters during the three-day weekend. (Not bad for our first Rally!)

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 13th UPDATE

The River City Rally has officially started. What a night it was last night! Our Friday night had over 35 scooters and 53 rally attendees show up at Novaks. What a party.

Our Urban night ride lead by the Mishifts Scooter Gang was amazing. We had over 32 scooters running downtown to the arch and then to Ted Drewes. Thanks Jeff R. for leading the way.

The Schedule for Saturday September 13th has been adjusted to the following:

9:20 am - Meet at Schlafly Bottleworks (Southwest & Manchester Avenue) for an slow 49cc friendly ride throughout the city and county of St. Louis. We will leave promptly at 9:45am so please come ready to go.

12 noon and on - BBQ at Whitecliff Park in Crestwood Missouri. See below for compele address and map links.

5:00 pm - Ride around the Crestwood and Sunset Hills region.

8:00 pm - Party back at Novaks in the evening weather permitting.

WEATHER UPDATE

We will still go on with the events as planned with the exception of some of the riding which will all be determined by the weather.

I know many of you don't mind riding in the rain but I think this rain will be to much to over come especially the big ride with known areas that flood and have bad wash off of gravel, mud etc onto the road.

Here are the updated plans as of today Thursday September 11, 2008:

Friday Night:
We will still meet at Novaks, the night ride will go on weather permitting.

Saturday
We will move the BBQ at White Cliff Park in Crestwood to noon. We will ride after we eat, etc weather permitting.

Sunday
We will make a determination regarding the Sunday ride on Saturday. Looks like there will be an opportunity to get the ride in. Kevin would like to move the big bike ride to Sunday with a starting time of 9am of course weather permitting. After we ride (country or urban) we would go back to Novak's for brunch.

It's a bummer about the weather but not much can be done. In our opinion it is better to keep everyone safe and off the anticipated very wet streets.

So it might be a lot of caging to some fun events!

RIVER CITY RALLY SEPT 12th - 14th 2008

St. Louis Scooter Club (SLSC) is hosting the first RIVER CITY SCOOTER RALLY.

Here is the schedule:

Friday September 12
5:30pm - 8pm
Registration/Dinner @ Novaks Bar & Grill located at 4121 Manchester Avenue.

Register for Rally weekend events and receive ride packets.
Maps and directions to Whitecliff Park (BBQ) and ride packets for all scheduled rides.
A buffet dinner will be provided FREE of charge by Novaks Bar & Grill.

8pm - 10pm
Urban Ride hosted by the Mishifts SC (formerly known as the Knights of St. Louis.)

9:30pm -
After Ride Party at Novaks Bar & Grill located at 4121 Manchester Avenue.

Saturday September 13
9am - 1pm
Urban Ride (open to all scooter sizes.)
A leisurely ride around the St. Louis City urban area.
This ride will be lead by SLSC Founders Maggie, Terri and SLSC Member Jim.

Meet at Muny Parking Lot at 8:45am sharp.
There will be a brief "Riders Meeting" at 9:00am sharp.
Wheels will roll at 9:15am. Please come gassed up and ready to roll!

9am - 1pm
Country Ride (open to only confident riders on 150cc and larger scooters.)

Meet at the Holiday Inn Viking Hotel in Sunset Hills at 8:45am sharp. Riders Meeting at 9am sharp. Wheels will roll at 9:15am. Please come gassed up and ready to roll!
Scooters and riders must be able to maintain posted speeds on Highway 40 and 141.
A run down through Jefferson County then over to West St. Louis County. Riders will experience elevation changes and twisting roads.
This ride will be lead by SLSC Gateway Maxi Founder Kevin and SLSC Founder Pete.

4pm - 8:30pm
Rally BBQ at Whitecliff Park located at 9245 Whitecliff Park Lane Crestwood, Missouri 63126

Maps will be provided at registration with directions to Whitecliff Park.
Maps will also be available here www.rivercityrally.com closer to the rally dates.
Anyone that is in from out of town will be provided an escort from the Viking by a SLSC member.
While alcohol IS allowed at the park, per our permit NO GLASS BOTTLES are allowed. SLSC WILL NOT be providing alcoholic beverages. We will provide everything else, so come with a hearty appetite otherwise BYOB!

Sunday September 14
10am -Noon
The Official RIVER CITY RALLY Picture Ride (open to all scooters).

A ride through downtown ending at Novaks Bar & Grill. Meet at the Muny. Ride will be lead by SLSC Founders Maggie and Reggie.

Noon - 3pm
Brunch and hang out at Novaks Bar & Grill.

All rides and events are hosted by the SLSC unless otherwise noted. This schedule is subject to change. Any changes will be posted here.
